There is so much information out there about how, when and what to stretch. Lets simplify it.

Stretching is seen as a way to increase muscle length- that is NOT what we are trying to do here. We are utilising the tension on connective tissue, nerve, blood vessels AND muscles to achieve a change in muscle TONE.
